Alex Aftuck

Alex, the newest member of our permanent staff, joined the gbA team in May 2024.  His passion for design and the desire to create simplicity, using less while getting more, led him to join gbA after working at another firm in Vermont.

In a previous life, Alex studied and taught mathematics, and then attended Temple University in Philadelphia, earning a Master’s in Architecture.  There he began his career as a designer at a large architecture firm before deciding to move to Vermont in 2019, where he is currently licensed.

In his spare time, Alex can be found hiking or running through the woods, swimming in the summer, or working on his house and gardening with his family.
